Hello everyone, Elam Landry here again.

In this blog post, I want to talk about my third component for building back links to your website. The component that we will talk about in this post is, providing quality content.

The newbies of SEO, may be wondering…

What Is Quality Content?

Quality content, is written information in your website that is relevant to the niche of your website. Furthermore, your writing sticks to your subject or topic.

For example, my website, ElamLandry.com, is a website about Search Engine Optimization. So most of the time, I have content in this website just about SEO. Furthermore, each blog post I have dedicated to a sub-topic of SEO. This blog post alone, I am giving you an example of what quality content is. Meaning if I talk about something other than providing quality content to get back links for your website, it is not quality content.

A good example of this was when my last couple blog posts, I remember talking about the New York Yankees winning their 27th World Series Championship. That paragraph had nothing to do with the talk about the compoenents on how to build back links. However, it wasn’t so bad since this is a blog and I like to show my readers some enthusiasm, this way they are not bored when reading my writing.

Now that we know what quality content is…

How Can Quality Content Help Getting Back Links?

Well to answer that question is very simple. Let’s say you, the reader of this blog post, you have a website on SEO. You are looking for articles to post on your website on how providing quality content can help building back links in SEO. Now obviously, you landed in this page. So you’ll read it and see if the information here is worthwhile posting on your blog. My blog post, will have a certain criteria to meet when your looking for a perfect article to put in your website. Moving forward, let’s say you pick this blog post to put in your blog as an article.

It will be obvious that my article had some quality content that was relevant to your website’s niche which why you had picked this post in the first place to put in your webstie for your readers. Now when you, the established SEO website owner, puts this article in your blog, you will obviously have to point back to this site telling people you got this content from ElamLandry.com.

In the most simplistic terms, providing quality content is you doing a job that has satisfied someone and they are referring your work by adding a back link to your website from theirs! When you see it this way, it becomes clearer.

Obviously, there is much more to learn on how to write this way you have quality content for your website. However, that is a different topic and we’ll put that to the side since all we’re concentrating on is how quality content can increase the chances for your website to receive some back links, hence more link juice!

I hope this post has made your understanding on how quality content helps in building back links to your site. Please contact me at any time without any hesitation if you need help with SEO using the “Contact Me” form and I will be glad to help. I usually respond in less 24 hours.

In my next blog post, I want to continue talking about the 8 things that can help you get back links to your website. In my next blog post, I will talk about how posting on forums can help you get back links to your website!
Talk to you soon,

Elam Landry.

Hello, Elam Landry here.

I know, I know, I know. It has been about two weeks since I’ve updated my blog. Please don’t blame me for that. Blame the World Series for that and my school. These past two weeks I have been very busy with some heavy studying for mid-terms with some heavy baseball supporting for the Yankees to win the World Series! Anyhow let’s get straight to the point since I don’t want to waste any time here.

In my last blog post, I spoke about Link Exchanges and how to go about it. The second part of my eight points I’ve made in my last two previous blog posts about how to get backlinks. So let’s get started…

Link Baiting: What Is It?

Link Baiting, is to have something in your blog posts or something that attracts someone else to get them to point a link from their wesbite to yours. In simple terms… Let’s say one of my blog readers has a web site on Search Engine Optimization like mine. And his blog, has articles about SEO. He has no articles on Link Baiting. He then finds my website and thinks, “oh my, this article can help my readers.” He would then talk a little about Link Baiting, and then point to my website with the Link Baiting blog post as additional information fo his blog readers to understand Link Baiting a little more. Sounds pretty hard to do huh?

Well it is. So, we can pose the next question…

Why Try To Link Bait If It Is Hard To Do?

Very simple. It is one of the best natural bank linking technique. When you can get someone else to point back to your website it adds value to your website, especially if the two websites are related. In the eyes of google, the importance of your website would be respected. Now here’s the thing though, bait links isn’t easy. Doesn’t happen very often. You have to work for it…

So,

How Can I Perform Link Baiting?

This is something very easy. There are many ways to promote your website through Link Baiting. You can write news articles and submit them to social bookmarking sites such as Digg, de.li.cious, mixx, squidoo, and so forth. These social bookmarking sites that I’ve just mentioned gets a lot of visitors. I mean we’re talking massive traffic. People who are interested in pretty everything go to these websites to see what are other things people have bookmarked for them to see.

So when you start bookmarking your stories, blog posts, and so on, an interested reader at digg or any social bookmarking sites that I’ve mentioned, may get attracted to visit your site to read something that someone else bookmarked on these so called, “social bookmarking sites.” It may interest that reader who found your site through digg (using that as a social bookmarking site example) and then may link your page on his/her website.

This is how simple link baiting is.

If you would like to learn more about Link Baiting, my friend Matt Cutts is more of an expert when it comes to SEO, espcially when it comes to How To Bait Links and The Different Way Of Doing It. You can visit his website and check out what he has to say about it in the additional resource section below (By the way, the links in the additional resources below is a good example of links being baited for the owners of the sites I am listing below.)

P.S. I promise I will get to writing frequent blog posts from now on since my exams are over and so is the World Series Congratulations to the 2009 World Series Champs, The New York Yankees for the 27th time!!!

P.P.S. In my next blog post I will talk the third strategy on how to build back links, Providing Quality Content.

Hello, Elam here once again-

From the last time we talked, I 8 main areas on how to build back links. I am not sure if I made my point very clear in my last blog post, I am pretty sure I did, but I stressed on back links, back links, AND back links! The only reason I stressed on those points, which is pretty much the same point, is to get backlinks is for a variety of reasons. We could write a whole article on why back links is important. But, the main important thing is:

In order to move your website up in rank with the search engines, mainly Google, is show them that you links pointing back to your site. That’s correcto! The more links you show google you have to your website, the more they find your website important. It is pretty much like a security deposit if you would like to think of it that way. Or if you want to think of it in another way, we can take an example of it being as “proof of income” for your website your you apply for a loan from a bank for example.

However, Google is smart. They won’t just boost your website’s rank just because you have X amount of back links to your website. They will review it on from what websites your back links come from, what page rank are the back links that your getting from those websites, and if the websites you are getting back links from has any relevancy to your content(s) on your webpages.

So we left on the last time on the 8 different ways of getting these high page rank quality relevancy back links for your website. And, the first that I mentioned was Link Exchanges.

So What Is A Link Exchange?

A Link Exchange is basically getting a link from another website owner in exchange for a link. So let’s take an example your friend has a website about dog training. Now his website is already established for years and in the eyes of google, his website has a page rank of 6. Now your the new guy in the street. You have fresh content but your website is new. It has been a few months since it has been established. Now to show Google that your website is important, you can get involved in a link exchange with your friend with the established dog training website.

You can talk to your friend and ask him if he can post your website on his website’s “links” page or any page he wishes to refer his readers to your website and you would do the same for him. Now since his website has a high page rank and yours doesn’t, you need him linking you more than he needs you linking him. So he may take advantage of you by charging you a small fee. Or, if he’s a really good friend of yours he would do it, free of charge.

Once you get a link from his established dog training website, Google will see your website with a bit of more importance. They will see that your website is about dog training and has a link to and back another dog training website (relevant to your website) that has a high page rank. Google will then be like, “Holy smokes, we have more respect for this website now.”

Now I am not saying that just by doing this you will move to the first page of Google. Oh no no no. But in order to gain rank and trust with Google, you would need to build back links. And of those ways is through link exchange.

Depending on your niche’s competition, that will determine how long it will take you to build your rank up to the first page in Google. If you are really thinking about dog training, think again because the competition is huge in that market and to get to the first page of Google you may need a million amount of back links pointing to your site to get you close to everyone else. Dog training was just an example niche I used to make the concept of link exchanges, more understandable

I hope this blog posts summed up in the simplest way as possible on what is a link exchange. My next blog post I will talk about the second way I mentioned on how to build a back link from my last post which is:

Link Baiting.

Talk to you soon, and I hope you enjoyed this post just as much I’ve enjoyed writing it.

Elam Landry.

P.S. If you need more information on Link Exchanges, you can get more information here. If you wish to involve in Link Exchanges and see if you can get any for free or for a small fee you can visit this website- LinkMarket.

Hello again, Elam here.

In my past blog posts, I have been stressing on getting backlinks to your website to get your website some exposure. It is very straight forward and simple. This is how I view backlinks. Look at it as a company business card. Let’s say for example, you have opened a courier business. How are your friends who own other businesses going to know or people in your church, synogogue, mosque, or community going to know that you have opened up a courier business and open for them to use if they need a courier? How will they remember your businesses name, phone number, or address and all other contact information? So what would you do so they remember all that information? Well read further to find this out….

You give them your company business card. It is one of the first things new companies do to get some exposure. They print out business cards to hand out to their friends, family, and colleagues so people know that the company exists.

With backlinks it is the same thing. When you have a new website, no one knows that you have a new website. Your community that your trying to target are the search engines. You want to let the search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN know that, “hey listen, I have a new website, I want you to get it indexed.” But here’s the problem, if you don’t have any backlinks to your website, then how will the search engine know that your website exists???

That is why, I love backlinks. It is the key to SEO. If anyone asks me about SEO all I say is, “backlinks! backlinks! backlinks!” It is a vital component in making your website’s network grow. If you get a chance, drop in your website’s link somewhere so your website can get recognized and more exposed in the internet world.

Here is the problem though, many people ask me, “Elam, okay I get it, you stress on getting backlinks but where do we get them? How do we get them? Are they free?” The answer to that questions requries some time. You see there are many possibilites on how to obtain backlinks. Are they free? Yes and no. Does it mean that free backlinks are worth less? No. Before we go on further let’s list out how you can backlinks to yourwebsite.

Here are the different types of ways that you can get backlinks:

Link Exchanges

Link Baiting

Providing Quality Content

Posting on forums

RSS Feeds

Submit Articles

Provide a link to me code

Buy Text Links

The list is endless on how to get backlinks to your website and the different ways to obtain it. The reason I listed the above 8 is because every post from now that I make I want to talk about each different way on how to get backlinks. I want to dedicate single posts to every 8 because I feel it is very important to Search Engine Optimization when you are trying to get maximum exposure to your new website which is what you want always!

So make sure to check back soon for updates on the list above on the different ways to get backlinks!

Talk to you soon,

Hello everyone!

Elam here again. As promised, I said that in my next post I will talk a little bit more about SEO in brief. And today I’ve chose to talk about back links to your website/blog. I have uploaded a video which I reveal a very cool SEO trick.

To get access to the video, you will have to subscribe your name and your e-mail in the e-mail opt-in form to the right of the website.

In the video, I show:

How To Get A Back Link From A Page Rank 10 Website For Free!

You will be amazed at how easy it is to get powerful backlinks to your website/blog that are quality links which search engine bots from all the search engines love!

It is funny how I found out about this trick. One day, a friend of mine called me up and was so excited. He told me why he was so excited that he couldn’t wait to show me what he stumbled across. He had found a way to get a backlink from a pagerank 10 website and told me how he had his new blog up and indexed in less than 24 hours! My jaw dropped, I had to hear out what he had to say. He showed me this cool trick, and I thought to myself, hey why now make a video on how to do this and share it with my blog readers?

I am sure this cool trick will help your website get indexed in less than no time if your website is new and if your website is already indexed with the search engines then it will give more link juice to your pages!

If your a webmaster, you know that a backlink from a pagerank 10 website can do wonder!

Don’t forget to subscribe to my e-mail list if you want access to this video!

I hope you enjoy the video when you get it, I am sure your jaw will drop just as mine did when my friend told me about this.

Talk to you soon,

Elam Landry

P.S. In my next post I will talk briefly about the importance of backlinks to your website.
